TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Hmm, are you using contact or spaced coils? I'd like to put SS430 on my DNA40s as opposed to Ni200 or Ti if I could get it to be a little more reliable.

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

Has anyone had good results using titanium on mesh? I normally use Ni200 for it, but it would be nice to switch all my wires to one material. Any tips/tricks, preferred wire sizes/capture methods?

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

I've tried, and it works decently, but it was too inconsistent for my taste. Sometimes would actually be good, if a little warm, other times it would go well beyond what I was looking for and just never temp limit

Will report back when I get home. Thanks for the interest and assistance.

    WISMEC Reuleaux RX200 TC

Well, looks like this is a no-go for me. Got one for the wife and it shows an empty battery bar even with 3 brand new batteries, freshly charged. It behaves as if the batteries are dead. The set that is used in my Reuleaux DNA200 was also tried, with the same result. Bummer

    Hcigar VT133 -- dual battery

I wish something could come out just like that, but unfortunately that would require that Evolv make a new board to handle that type of capability. The DNA200 (or DNA133 in this case) is unable to step UP voltage, it's only step down.

    TC On SS Mesh

So, are there any of you running Temp Control on your SS Mesh setups? I'm looking to get something going like that but wanted to hear some success stories in regards to what mesh/wire you guys are using.

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Gotcha. It seems that their smaller gauges, 24 and 22 gaugeand stuff(branded as Elite) is 316L. The Haywire, the larger wire(20ga), is 317L. This info came from the Vaporkings website, combined with wire type identifications from Steam Engine

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

I believe GPlat is 317L. You can google it if you want, I would but the specific vendor's page is blocked at work for me.

    Indulgence Mt-Rta

I suppose with adequate wicking a 2mm clapton should be more than adequate. Maybe HRH will be ok with the MT being a test piece for us. I mean, isn't the holidays about sharing?

    Indulgence Mt-Rta

Come on guys... the Bellus I ordered isn't even here yet and you're gonna make me spend more money. As someone who vapes a majority of their time around 35w(I occasionally go into the 60-80w range on rare occasions, but have plenty of drippers that work in that respect), is there truly merit in...

    Indulgence Mt-Rta

I use the dropper bottles because that's what the juice comes in, and I couldn't be bothered to transfer it to another bottle. Murphy seems to have a sixth sense about when I'm transferring juice from one container to another, so I just leave it the way I bought it.

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Isn't that a rather large change in resistance, all things considered? Nickel is like .006 or something, and SS430 is down in the .00138 range, from what I remember. It definitely checks the TCR box, just remains to see what it's like from a material safety standpoint.

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

The most accurate term I have seen for the way the SXM does temp control is with Pulse Frequency Modulation, where it chooses a pulse to hit your coil with (based on your setting) and then changes how often it is going to hit the coil with that pulse based on resistance/temperature. Close to...

    Clapton

I've never used a wrap wire thicker than 34 (not to discourage you from doing so, you do what you want)in the past 5-6 months I've been making Claptons, but I've not once had a wrap wire break on me. To someone who has never made a Clapton before, I recommend starting with 34 or 36 and then...

    Nichrome vs Kanthal on claptons

There's multiple factors that contribute to Youtubers/celebrity vapers using nichrome lately: -Lower resistance per wrap compared to Kanthal (would make a build of same wraps heat up faster than the Kanthal build when on a mechanical) -Nichrome80 has no Iron in it(80% Nickel/20% Chromium). Some...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Man, I've been enjoying Ti lately in my E7 Monster, but I think it might be time to try and step my game up to a mod that can handle more metal types, but still bottom feeds. Might be TMod time; he puts SXJ boards in his mods. What's the consensus on SS430 in an SXJ with TCR firmware? Also just...

    BF Mods by Custom-Classic

Alright, I give up. I have to put myself up for one of these. I'll be able to get the money together by the time it's ready. I've got regulated BF mods coming out my ears, but I need a(nother) mechanical one, my Reo is getting lonely. Meanwhile, while I roll through the whole thread (on pg 70...
