Just checked. Nickel only bad if too high temp.Thats why can only use in temp control and not VV/VW mode. Also if allergic to nickel then also cannot use.

You might be using too much cotton man. If its too much, the cotton inside the coil will be dry as it is too compact then the juice from outside cannot flow in. Happened to me many times before. Had a funny taste. Cotton still wet one then i pull out its like dry alrdy. That might be your problem.
