I don't know why people are saying they get a burnt taste at high voltage, I run mine anywhere from 4.1v to 5.8v with 1.8, 2.4, and 2.8ohm heads and don't get dry hit or burned flavor as long as I keep it tilted with one wick up and the other down.

I rinse out the tank, and just clean the head with a dry paper towel, dry off the tank refill and go, as long as yours has the shorter wick this should be fine.
