    New Calculator to try

Glad it's working for you, thanks for the confirmation! Definitely will work on Mac as well, noticed some previous confirmations in this thread. There are some oddities in the UI, something I noticed which I don't remember being present before is having to keep your mouse movement right below...

    New Calculator to try

Spot on. This error message is caused by lack of .NET 4.0 installation (or using mono, which won't work). The easiest way to install .NET is using winetricks, do not attempt manual installation as it will cause you unnecessary headache. Hey Hodgy, just wanted to report that the calculator runs...

Installing HotRod's Juice Calucator on Mac OS and Linux Hello everyone, I hope you guys are doing alright. Just wanted to repost my updated guide for getting the calculator to run under other operating systems. I've removed some redundant steps (which makes the install an extremely easy 5-step...

    New Calculator to try

Hello HotRod, thanks for the update, as usual it's really appreciated. The calculator from number one is very nifty and useful, comes just in time for preparation for my nicotine stockpiling (and I'm sure that of many others)! Does number 7 mean that the flavours will be reduced accordingly...

    New Calculator to try

As @Ed Sause mentioned, that was me. You are probably experiencing issue due to either missing Microsoft .NET Framerwork, installation of said framework in WINE or using a 64 bit WINE prefix (you need to use 32 bit one for the .NET Framework to install in WINE). With the exception of a few minor...

    New Calculator to try

Hey sorry for the late answer and thanks for having a look at this. Doing some tests, this does seem to strangely only affect WINE/Linux setups (didn't you mention about wrong calculations reported by a WINE/Mac user or I'm mistaken)? Please see the attached screenshots for more clarification...

    New Calculator to try

@HotRod19579 the calculations for the price are broken in the latest version. You can find linked my juice file and upon inspecting it you'll see the calculated price for the recipe "tpd cost 2" is 0.72, where as according the values I've put in the ingredients it should be something close to...

    New Calculator to try

Did you manage to find them? Try searching for recipes.xml using File Explorer in all files on your hard drive (including hidden ones!) HotRod, you're amazing as usual! This calculator is getting more and more full featured and the new "days to steep" feature is extremely well designed and...

    New Calculator to try

Hello everyone, I'm back after a busy period and you can find a small update in the guide for installing this great calculator under Wine (applicable for both Linux and Mac by my understanding) -- just click expand to see the updated steps in the quoted post (can't update the original post) I...

    New Calculator to try

Oh that would be an Asus ROG G501 laptop, so that's Intel® Core™ i7 4720HQ Processor, 1TB HDD and 256 SSD, Intel® HM87 Express Chipset, 12 GB RAM and the Full HD screen for the particular machine I've got.

What do you mean with "base system configuration"? If you are asking about my Linux distribution, I'm currently using Fedora 24.

    New Calculator to try

@HotRod19579 I would just like to thank you for your continuing support of this great calculator and your amazing contribution to the DIY community. I can happily report that I've been running the Juice Calculator without any problems including automatic updates, under Linux (Fedora 23 and 24)...

    Negating Steeping

Glad to hear it's working out. The vortex seems too be a little slow due to the magnets throwing off (they should be balanced in centre). I remember other people coming across this issue, try Googling around and maybe you'll find some help for that. As an answer to your previous question -...

    New Calculator to try

You do get a red notification text when there is not enough ingredients to mix the recipe. Having the button disabled altogether is unwanted, since your inventory might not be updated. As for adding back ingredients, it's a useful feature you can use when you make a mistake and take out too...

    Negating Steeping

I posted in an earlier reply in the thread various topics that explain "heat steeping" in details, read them over again. It's not a secret, however the method is not proven and heating might have unwanted effects on the liquid. I would use it to heat the liquid up to about 40 degrees Celsius...

Ahh thanks for clearing that up! I actually noticed the downloaded version IS the latest one available (7.0.1.4) so it's all good. Thank you very much!

    New Calculator to try

Hey @HotRod19579 on the main page it's now posting Juice Calculator as the only mirror as opposed to the usual Dropbox download. On that website it's displaying version 6.0.2.2, where as it should be 7.0.1.4. Is that normal, is the website legit? What happened to Dropbox/Google Drive mirrors?

    Negating Steeping

Hehe that's funny, I've been mixing for a while now and just ordered my first DIY box mod kit :) So soon (after I learn how to solder and some other stuff haha) I'll have my very own built DNA 75 box mod. Ok since you genuinely look like you want to learn I'll try my best to help out. Steeping...

    Negating Steeping

Yeah I really get the concept of speed steeping and why people would want to do it. Everyone has toyed with the idea, including me. However the answer is simply no. Sure, you can change the process, don't expect to get the same results though. And I'm not talking about "best" method vs "worst"...
