+1 TFA's Red Hots is really good. For some variety you could also get their plain 'Cinnamon' or something like Cap Cinnamon Danish to mix with for a little more body. A little bit of Lorann's Butter Rum mixed in with Red Hots makes for an interesting cinnamon vape too.

I agree, turn it up a bit. 24g especially kanthal needs some wattage thrown at it. You could experiment with different coils too. Claptons or even twisted wire builds can enhance flavor.

I found the 'sushi roll' or 'Scottish' method of wicking to work the best on avoiding spitback. That paired with the right coil and wattage should eliminate spitback entirely and give you only smooth dense vapor. It might take a little experimenting but you'll find something that works.

For years I vaped 12mg on a eGo/ LR 510. When I switched to a sub ohm RDA setup I had to drop down to 3mg. I think I may even go down to 1.5mg soon because chain vaping at 85 watts is out of the question with 3mg as fast as my atty eats juice at that setting.

OP sounds more like too much nicotine to me. Did you change devices or use a different setup than normal? Obviously if you vape 12mg on a 2.0ohm atty at 7 watts, then go to sub ohm tank or rda at 70watts you're going to get way too much nicotine with the same liquid.
