FYI, Geekvape Zeus/Z is top airflow as well. It works fine, but that tank is 75 grams, Iken is 35!
I have now a 300g device (GEN3 Dual + Zeus), wheres IKEN setup was 200g! And this, with the lighthest mod available. That 50% increase in weight makes a big difference. No replacement for IKEN.
Loctite Silicone fixed all 4 tanks. No leakage at all. I am using them for a month now.
It was a whole lot easer to apply than epoxy as well. I just pust a very small amount and pressed it over the cracks. Then wiped the glass with ethyl alcohol. No smear, you would not know something was put...
This is THE replacement for Kanger IKEN.
Wismec Reuleaux RX GEN3 Dual
Slightly heavier but what to do. I should not have passed on Wismec back then. This is the lightest smallest dual 18650 mod by a large margin (apart from Eleaf Invoke which is a different shape).
This too had too many...
Epoxy fixed the leak. I did silicone on one as well, it is fixed too. I will let them cure a while before putting them to use. Thank you everyone for your contribution. I hope this thread becomes useful for someone in the same boat.
Some people are okay with everything. Attributed to lack of character. They try to belittle others for their choices. They don't get far in life.
Some people will go after what they desire, no matter how difficult it might be.
May I suggest you learn to be respectful to others? Somebody has...
Lighter than Minikin 2 and not too much heavier than IKEN. I had too many issues with Wismec (I had to solder the wires, etc). But it is the closest match.
I ordered one. Let me see.
No TC and 1cm taller than Eleaf Invoke. The closest match is Eleaf Invoke. Very lightweight and small with 2 x 18650s. But battery door was bad, I had to superglue the batteries in and throw it away with batteries when it started behaving erratically.
That is 11 cm high and heavier than an IKEN without batteries!
You think someone who goes through the hassle of opening up the mod to jumpstart or replace the battery or offer $300 for IKENs would not bother looking around to at least few hundred mods? I am looking many years. No replacements...
I am okay with it. Better than putting up with the crap I don't like -- which is all of the other vaping gear. If you find one that has 5100 mAH at 175g, let me know. When IKEN mod fails, I will go to Vaporesso Luxe Nano and put up with 2500 mAH battery.
I spent considerable time and energy on this with no success. I have 2 mods that work fine. After 4 years, battery life is not great any more though, but it is okay.
As a refplacement... I could not find any. For outside, I use Innokin Kroma-Z MTL @13W. It is lightweight and stealth.
Oh, you...
FYI, the glass (or plexiglass?) part has a metal chimney attached to it permanently. So, they use some kind of epoxy for this job. I don't think my filling a hairline crack with a food grade epoxy is any worse than what is already there.
It has airflow channels from top. My next step would be to get this tank made for me in quantity, if the fix does not work.
Actually, that sounds like a very good idea, come to think of it. It would be a whole lot easier to make.
I know what a hot tank is. My IKEN tank nor the mod never ever got hot after so many years of usage. I do not have options to adjust anything but TC temp from 200F-600F. I usually do about 280F with 0.50 ohm coil. I don't know what Kanger is doing, whatever they have been doing with their coils...
Epoxy is not going to kill me any more than the Chinese stuff we all have been vaping for years. How do you think canned food, and bazillion of other stuff is attached and lined?
Epoxy is FDA 177.300 certified for F&B and all tanks except 1 has tiny hairline cracks. Surface area contact is very...
