I should have mentioned that I never updated mine because I don't care about wallpaper. That may be why I have had no problems with the screen. I wonder if those with problems could flash it back to the previous version software and cure the problem?
For whatever its worth I have a Cylon from early production and the screen is still fine. I guess it is the luck of the draw. I admit that mine is one of several mods in rotation so perhaps it does not get the extreme use that others may have.
I guess I am the odd man out as I barely thin the wicks on my S V2 since the channels are so big. I always try to get that squeak with rayon but I am careful not to over stuff the coils as that can cause problems. I have used rayon with many rta's now and I find over stuffing the coil does more...
The Charon 218 is only about $35 from the usual China suppliers. I have owned and used 2 of them for about a year. They are great and very reliable. here is just 1 example other suppliers are slightly cheaper:
$38.07 Authentic Smoant Charon 218W TC VW APV Box Mod - 1-218W /...
Just reading through this thread. Note cotton expands when wet and rayon shrinks. Also note that very low ohm reading with a new coil is usually a sign of a short. Trim your leads better and make sure the coil is not touching the bell cap.
Just tried rayon in my Origen 19/22 for the first time today. It is basically and auto dripper so you could call it an auto rda. I did not thin the tails. Wicked it exactly as I always do with cotton except went tighter through the coil. It works fantastic. I was a bit surprised it was so easy...
I have lived in Thailand more than 20 years. I agree with almost everything you said except the part about the "brick and mortar shops" in weekend markets. In the past year the police have raided the markets regularly to arrest those people. They are operating on card tables set up for the...
I live in Thailand where vaping is very illegal. They rarely give jail sentence although they could. Mostly they fine the user at least $10,000 (often much more) in local currency with the threat of jail up to 10 years. I never take my vape gear outside my home. The police generally keep the...
Put a smaller o ring on that top cap and it will mostly solve that problem. At least you will be able to take off the top cap without using vise grips. That's what I did before I threw mine out. For the record I had zero juice holes showing so there must be some variation. Anyway, hope that...
I ordered the gold plated version of the Dvarw some time ago from Fasttech and received it last week. All I can say is WOW. It arrived clean and looks as good as the photos on their website. This is a remarkable value. It fits together more smoothly than my Coppervape Dvarw's and come with a...
I am not on Facebook so I cannot see the furor over this rta, but it is obvious that I was not the only one who saw it as a problem. Their excuse is patently silly. Just cut the thread consistently to the right depth and the juice holes will line up. Perhaps that tolerance is too much to ask of...
I don't do Facebook. The only real question for them is how many units they shipped that had the same defects as the one I received. China does not do small runs so I bet it is a lot. I have no doubt they will eventually fix all this in a future run. Without me. Vaping is a hobby for me which is...
That diagram is exactly what is happening to the one I just threw out. If you open the juice flow you are looking at solid metal not the juice holes in the build deck with cotton. That results in zero juice flow and obviously nothing but dry hits. They claim they have a fix for this in the...
One poster earlier in this thread posted a picture of that. He said he did that to his original Spica Pro. That would certainly create airflow but it would do nothing to solve the miss-alignment of the juice flow holes in the deck. They just cut the threads a few mm too deep so when you screw...
You don't need a photo just imagine that when you twist open the jfc you are looking at solid stainless steel. If you unscrew the build deck a quarter turn you will then see the juice flow holes with cotton behind. I think you can picture that.
Me too. I've tossed a few but very few. This is Coppervape which is usually reliable. I own several of their clones that are perfect. They just screwed up on this one. At these prices for clones some are just going to be duds. Not a big deal when you consider how little they all cost.
Interesting. It is not that way on the sample of the CV Spica Pro I have. When I just inserted the build deck all the way as you would with any rta I got a dry hit as soon as the priming juice ran out. Yes, the juice flow was open. I noticed when I watch a video on this rta that it clearly...
Then I must assume that I have a manufacturing defect. I bought from 3F Vape and they opened a ticket to investigate the problem. I would be willing to return it to them at my expense. Honestly the one I have is so screwed up I have thought it must be a defect. When the tank is empty if you try...
