+5V Fixed-Voltage Regulator 7805 - RadioShack.com
I do believe that you can buy these in a smaller package. They are .5 amp but it is a simple thing to piggy-back them onto one another to achieve desired amperage.
4 in a single circuit would give you 2amps, etc etc
Look around, I know (I...
The battery holder holds 8 AA batteries. I have only put 5 into it for 6volts total.
The 9v battery connector plugs into the battery holder. This sits on my desk and is not portable at all. But it holds 2400mah NiMH batteries and lasts for days without charging or using the 3.7v passthrough...
I'll have to take your word for it my friend. I never knew if cutting back the voltage would increase battery life in the prescribed manner. There are some highly efficient FET's out there that wouldn't waste hardly any energy at all. This definitely merits some more thought. I don't much care...

Anyone order from here - they have an awesome selection of batteries and charges. I wanted to ask before I ordered anything from them.
I forgot to mention - both batteries cannot be in use at the same time. If my brick of AA NiMH is plugged in, I have to remove the small battery from the passthrough. The opposite is also true; I have to unplug the battery pack if the small battery in the passthrough is in use.
Well I added a 9v connector to my passthrough. Ill also be adding a Deans Ultra plug to the wires. These plugs can handle as much voltage and amperage as 12gauge wire, so I am completely comfortable with their performance. The idea of adding the plug is to have a male/female side. When the PT is...
No need for me to add a voltage regulator. I am pleased with the 4.8v.
Besides you want a bit more voltage for charging a passthrough battery. Load voltage drops to just below 4volts anyway. So this is about perfect for even a non protected passthrough. It would be advisable to add a protection...
I had to put up the disclaimer. No one here runs unprotected right? So..
Do not use this for an unprotected Passthrough. If you do not know the difference between protected and unprotected do not attempt this or build anything similar...
And yes it does last for days. =)
This is not for a straight PT, because the batteries are not protected. But just as a power source for charging the battery in a normal PT. I think it will serve my intended purpose well enough. =)
Oddly enough I have settled on one flavor that I have been using for a couple weeks now and the flavor never changes on me. It is a mixture actually and in equal parts: Marlboro, Turkish Blend, Tobacco, and VG. That's 1:1:1:1 with some Bacardi dripped in there.
Throat hit stays and flavor...
I completely screwed up an atomizer by boiling. Completely my fault because I didn't stay on top of the boiling process. I let it go until the water boiled dry and the atomizer sat there over the heat (probably about an hour, yes this makes me a bad person) and the gunk got cemented into place...
So I took apart a flashlight that holds 4 AA batteries. I currently have 4, 2400mah (NiMH) AA's in it. This is nothing more than a portable USB type power source for a passthrough. I pulled a dual USB plug off an old motherboard and soldered a couple short wires to where the bulb used to plug...
One thing I noticed on the atomizer that removed the wick, bridge, and threads from. The juice doesn't get to half the coil, and all vapor has become slightly burnt tasting. On a normal burn one half the coil glows orange and the other half you can see vapor being produced from. I had to put the...
I have a method for replacing cruddy silica thread, it does involve removing the mesh but in the end it makes a very good dripping atomizer. Takes a steady hand, patience, and a little more time than I care to admit (big gorilla hands doesn't help at all). I cannot post images yet but it will be...
I tried the syringe method and it knocked loose some of the fiberglass threads under the bridge (Joye 510). I was able to tuck them back into place with a toothpick and no harm done. So a word of warning: apply even slow pressure and don't rush the flush (HA I'm a poet and didn't know it).
