Thanks for the replies folks and in future I will be more choosy in the forums in which I post my questions and/or rants.
I'm not sure why I have the dreams about smoking. It may simply be because of the previous 13,000 days prior where I associated everything good, bad or ugly that was going...
Greetings fellow vapors.
So wierd that after nearly 2 years without the sticks of cancer, I still have dreams where I smoke but in them, I remember I vape so somehow smoking too is ok. Wierd...lol
I seem to recall a number of weeks ago seeing some posts about links to discontinued older...
Thanks for the responses. I was using the shopping filter and that's where I found squat when historically there were more hits than I could chase. I checked googles terms of service (or whatever they call it) and found that vaping is now lumped in with 'dangerous products or services".
I realize I am probably late to the discussion in this but....today, on day 622 of not smoking I tried googling to find my faforite brand of mod and found absolutely nothing vape related at all. These over blown knee-jerk bans around all thing vape with no good science to back it up will cost...
Thanks for the replies. I was just trying to be self-aware enough to recognize that I could be limiting my possibilities by sticking with the tried and true hardware, hence the inquiry.
hello. I'm such a creature of habit and am thinking of purchasing another Ravage 230 even though there are only a handful of places carrying this discontinued device. I never vape above say 40 watts but like 2 batteries so it lasts all day and I am committed to the kanger tank and OCC coils I...
Hi guys. Does anyone know where I might be able to buy the grommet for the firing pin on the kangertech occ coils? This is the only part that will wear out that I haven't been able to locate in my quest to keep rebuilding them forever. I 'go thru' one coil about every 3 days and 420 days into...
Thanks everyone for the support and guidance over the last year. I bought an electronic scale, an ultrasonic cleaner and have looked at way too many vape recipes but haven't managed to get started yet on DIY juice but hope to find the courage to pull the trigger soon. It's interesting, i...
Great job and welcome back! Having smoked for well over 3 decades, I had my vape with me while I smoked and would take a drag off the cig and then the vape. Sounds like I was fortunate in that it took me a little over a month before I told my Brain (which saw no reason to quit smoking) that...
Happy thankssvaperday weekend comrades which I just calculated today to be day 300 smoke free after 36 years, ya hoo!
Love my ravage 230 and found I loved it even more with the red panda software update. I saw lots of folks with the no atomizer message for this mod and I myself took mine apart...
Super awesome information on this thread, much appreciated! Seems longer but 6 months today smoke free and most of that time I have honed rebuilding factory coils until I have a winner with 26 gauge ss, around 8 wraps gives me .7 ohms. I just got a fastech order from stuff I ordered the first...
Yes, that is what I was trying to say-the original material must not be titanium because when I built with that, it was under .5 ohms. I just didn't see any material at 26 gauge other than titanium that got me in the ballpark and none of those were ferrous.
Sorry, yes it is a round wire and I did the magnet test on it that's how I knew it was ferrous. It's a kanger coil with the red insulator which they identify as stainless steel. I bought 28, 26 and ultimately 24 stainless. The factory Coil was definitely not 24 but I was able to achieve the same...
Hello coil twisters and wire masters:/)
Trying to reverse engineer a factory coil which reads .57 ohms, it has about 9 turns on a 3.5 mm guide and somewhere around 30 mm combined leg length. It appears to be 26 gauge and it is ferrous. thoughts? Thanks
Yes I did look at some YouTube videos on it but that was months ago, I may have to revisit but I would need to get a spare one waiting in the wings. I also looked at YouTube vids of rebuilding the stock ones which were pretty bad and didn't result in removing the coil intact. I have built...
I flirted around with the RBA- wicking was hit or miss and I didn't want to put the shell in my drillpress and make the intake hole a more reasonable size as I read others had done. Not that it is an option but smoking was easier than vaping, lol. Thank you
I hope you are right. If red is indeed titanium, it sounds like a case of 'occasionally even a blind squirrel finds a nut" and I stumbled upon the material. Titanium wire is much more expensive, one would think they would advertise that as a selling point. Thanks much!
