Exotic coils when done correctly can taste absolutely amazing that of what no simple round wire can ever produce like on point sharp mouth watering taste. My go to for flavor so far 28g kanthal X 3 wrapped in 36g nichrome ! But you gotta keep the cores parallel and don’t let em cross anywhere...

I’m a coil builder myself and an avid flavor chaser and yet you can achieve some good flavor on simple round wire builds nothing makes that flavor pop like claptons do. But experiment with it because every build is a little different. Check out the airflow coil placement and wicking experiments...
