@IDJoel i get the same harshness on new coils

I am talking about the harshness that required my coil to preheat. I have some 6mg coming soon that i will try out to try and eliminate the hotspot theory

@Nate5700 the nicotine mellowed completely out. No loss of flavor. And the nic is still noticeable, but no "bite". Just throat hit which is exactly what i wanted. And to explain the "bite", this juice is at 5.5mg, and doesnt have the bite like the 3mg did doing other methods.

@Nate5700 i want to let you know that i am currently steeping a 6mg 30ml for 4 hours @150 in glass bottle. I am not adding flavor until the four hours, then i will add flavor, and try to homogenize the liquid through a dispersing blade. Let cool, then vape.

@Imfallen_Angel i will definitely try repriming instead of preheating to see if that helps. I did notice a little brown at the top of my cotton. Just a very small portion. I understand burned cotton can linger indefinitely, but i've had the same results with numerous coils

I think my store bought was 70/30. But i've been having the same problems at 70/30 and at max. Im able to vape straight vg and straight pg with no problems. So i know it is my nic. It must have something to do with my nic. I also do not steep my juices, so maybe somehow my nic warms up and...

Is it possible that cotton can dewick itself? And so fast at that?

It's a fairly new coil. I dont use sweeteners. I just light it for 5 seconds, and then the following puffs are perfect. Itxs not throat acclamation because i had been vaping for 10 minutes fine, filled tank, then harsh came back

And i just refilled my tank, and can instantly feel the throat hit again. Is there something to do with cold juice being harsh until warmed up?

I dont think im crazy, but if i dont hest my coil up before vaping, i get pretty harsh throat hits. Im using DIY juice. Does anyone else experience this? If so, is there a remedy?

Im not rich or wealthy by any means. Im a jard worker. But i have no problem wasting nic on experiments. Especially for how little the waste is. I would suggest trying your 36mg before and after heat and see how that turns out. If you try it, tell us your heat time and temps with results.

Have you tried vaping just the nic without any steeping?

@Nate5700 are you using a syringe to measure your 10ml tests? When you do a sample so small, every 10th of an ml matters. Using 36mg, you could be getting higher nic than expected. Im sorry i started this thread and havent posted much contributing info, but im still working on it. Im making...
