if it were the glue it would be a typically problem for all bottom coils , they seem to all use that same glue the ones from bloog smokeless image and so on all use it.

I think on some carts ther is a little fine tuning needed

the wick might be overly wet, you can try blowing it out from the mouthpiece and then try it again and see what happens

personally I like the ECHO-E model a little better I am just more used to manual battery's

The echo e seams to give a little bit of a stronger throat hit IMO , probably just because of it being manual. I have had both for quite a while ,and in comparison the standard has a slightly airy draw as where the e model is tighter on the draw. at this point I really can't pick a winner.
