That is to do with the wick job and probably spaced vs compressed coil? I space mine. Mine pops a bit if the wick is loose(ish) in the coil or if the cotton forms any type of fold (air pocket) rather than being perfectly round inside the coil. The cotton pads are prone to that if not cafrefully...

Same, 22mm, 2ml. I get bubbles that get stuck there too, but it has not actually caused any problem. Eventually they work themselves out. It's just such a tiny gap between the glass and the deck housing. I would also say to go for the 24mm version though, because...why not.
