I've always stuck with the plastic tip that comes with the atomizer... It's basically an empty cart, but I've been using that method for however long I've been vaping and it's been working great. Just pop the plastic, drop a few drops, pop it back on, and Bob's your uncle.

I don't think the strength of the batteries would matter much. A short in any battery can wipe out the electronics in the charger, which if by some stroke of bad luck happens to short as well, can continue taking out your remaining batteries you plug in. Where the strength of the batteries...
