Ron... Please believe me... I don't wanna get into the whole protected unprotected battery thing...BUT BJ43 made a good point that should not be overlooked... The helicopter batteries are unprotected batteries, they rely on the controller in the helicopter to assure safe operation and over...
A regular (alkaline battery) AA size is 51mm X 14mm approximately..... That would make AA battery a 14510.... 14 mm for the diameter and 51 mm for the length.... SO a 18650 would be 18 mm for the diameter and 65 millimeters for the length......that is not a AA battery...
