    New VaporAlley web site

It looks fantastic, and it works a lot better with Firefox than the old one did.:firefox:

    the rest of the site

Not really. ECF has grown tremendously since I first joined, and I tend to get lost easily. I like to check out suppliers before ordering - I've gotten some great discounts that way (sales and/or coupon codes) and also found out about new things to try that I might have missed otherwise (just...

Some are hot, some are not!

Thanks, Charlz! I tried your experiment. I got a normal amount of vapour with the pink batteries (a) and black batteries (b). Then I tried the non-melted copper battery (c) and got only one tiny puff. I should mention that the numbers I was quoting for the charger (output 5.0V, 500mA) are...

Some are hot, some are not!

I contacted Company C about the batteries. They asked about the charger, and it turns out that the charger included with my 510-T starter kit has an output of 5.0 V and the copper batteries require a charger with an output of 4.2 V. They generously offered to replace the batteries for me, but I...

Some are hot, some are not!

Thanks, Denali. I wouldn't have tried that combo, but I was really surprised to learn that the 510-T charger is different to the regular 510 one.

Some are hot, some are not!

Thank you! I think you're onto something. I have no idea how this could have happened, but maybe the batteries were fine and Company C simply shipped me the wrong ones by mistake. I was so careful to order 180 mAh, but I have no idea what I actually got. The boxes weren't marked in any way...

Some are hot, some are not!

Polarity? I had to go searching the forum for what this is and how to check it. If I plug in the toaster, put bread in, and toast comes out instead of charcoal or flames I consider myself lucky. As for mAh, once again black and copper are the same (180) and no info. is available for...

Some are hot, some are not!

Thanks, Charlz. Never thought of voltage. According to Company B's and Company C's websites, the black and copper batteries are both 3.3V. No info. available on Company A (pink batteries). I will contact Company C as you suggested. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong first.

Some are hot, some are not!

I've just gotten back into vaping and bought the following 510-T items: 2 pink batteries from Company A (starter kit) 2 black batteries from Company B 2 copper batteries from Company C The 2 pink batteries charged just fine. Black battery #1 charged fine too. Copper battery #1 overheated to the...

    Karats? Kerrits?

Yes! That's it! Thanks so much. I had been shopping for new riding jods around the same time, which is why I had the "Kerrits" name stuck in my mind. Thanks for the video review too. I think I've just found my next e-cig...

    Karats? Kerrits?

When DH and I decided to try vaping and were researching all of the different products that were available, we found an e-cig that sounded something like "carrots." It may have been a Canadian or EU company. Anyway, we decided to go with another supplier instead, and now that they no longer ship...

    New DSE901 with blinking battery

Sorry to hear that, esmkr and Spikey. I guess I'm not the only one. I didn't know that a defective battery could kill an atomiser. I guess I'll stop trying to use it. Thanks, Withnail. Johnsky, I appreciate the technical info. I have to admit that a lot of it is beyond my understanding, but I...

    New DSE901 with blinking battery

Thanks, Jimgman. I had no idea that my pocket mini didn't have a cutoff. I'm really new to this, and there's so much to learn. I did email Daniel the day before yesterday. I'm not surprised that I haven't heard back since he's apparently receiving all of the PureSmoker messages during the move...

    New DSE901 with blinking battery

Lorddrek, is this only happening with one of your batteries? DH and I have 4 batteries between us, and only one of them does this strange flashing thing. That's why I'm starting to think that it's a problem with the battery itself rather than a defective charger or bad vaping technique or...

Tone, how long ago did you receive yours? My warranty is going to expire before PureSmoker reopens after their move.

    New DSE901 with blinking battery

I guess I wasn't very clear on this. I inhaled for about 3 seconds. The LED lit up while I was inhaling and then immediately started blinking as soon as I stopped inhaling. Sorry I can't explain it any better. I really do appreciate your help and patience.
