    First Temp Control Build

You can actually be pretty accurate with Ti on a DNA40. Start low and raise the temperature until you start to scorch dry cotton. That is about 450 degrees. Back it off 10 degrees and you will protect your cotton from scorching. In truth, to really get the most out of temp control you should...

    Parallel mech box..

I use a 5/4 wrap 20g dual coil setup on my parrelell box. It comes out to .12 ohms. On freshly charged Samsung 25R's, it pulls 35 amps. Well within safe limits.

    anyone else used fiber freaks?

Fiber Freaks is actually cellucotton, aka rayon. There are many people that prefer it. Here is a link to a very long thread about it: Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit! | E-Cigarette Forum

    Help with coul rebuild

Are you building spaced coils or contact coils? Are you pre-burning the coils if you are making contact coils? Most contact coils start off having hot legs, which easily burn your cotton on the first couple draws. However, the insulators on the build deck for these RTA's are easily burned...

    watts and voltage.

That chart doesn't take into account some variables that greatly change the wattage needed. The type of resistance wire used, the gauge of wire used, the type of coil, and the amount of airflow over the coils greatly influences what wattage can be used. For example, a 1.8 ohm 30 gauge coil...

    Vaping ain't easy

This is where the ability to use a RDA and a simple mech mod comes in handy. With a little practice it only takes 5 mins to rebuild an atty and there isn't much else that can go wrong with it. I have a small kit with a RDA, tools and wire to make coils, a mech mod, a pair of 18650's, and a...

Vaping as a smoking cessation tool does not work

Just like with most things in life, you only get out of it what you put into it. Once you educate yourself about your needs and equipment, it becomes just as easy as smoking can be. When I smoked, I knew how many cigarettes I needed to get through a day. So, I made sure I had enough of them...

What gauge wire do you use??

20g for cloud builds. 22g for hotter normal use builds. 24g for my every day normal use. 26g for my tank builds. 29g tempered Ni200 for temp control builds. Two important things to keep in mind with lower gauge builds: Make sure your batteries can safely handle the current draw and be...

There's something missing he tells me.

Keep in mind that there are other addictive chemicals besides nicotine in cigarettes. There is also the psychological connection to cigarettes. Transitioning between the two is a personal journey for each individual.

I hate to point a finger at vaping

I had shortness of breath off and on around the 6-9 month mark after I quit smoking. This was accompanied by a slight tightness in the chest. I attributed it to my lungs tightening as they healed some of the damage from smoking, similar to how the skin will tighten as a cut heals. My response...

Let's be honest, smoking cigarettes is far cheaper than vaping!

Like others have stated, mine is based off of how much I used to spend smoking. I also keep a spreadsheet with a running total of my vaping purchases and money saved from other incurred costs associated with smoking, such as Inhalers, insurance premiums, etc. Cost of cigarettes aside, I've...

question on sampling lots of juices

Cartomizers are reusable and cleanable, so I just fill it up and vape it dry to get an idea of how a juice tastes in one. Once the juice is out, run some hot water through it for a bit (I also soak it for about 2 mins), spin it to get out most of the extra water, and pop it into a sealable...

Mini Lava Tube arriving Monday morning :p

A 2000 mAH 18650 should have no problem getting you through an entire day. Many people can even get 2 full days out of each one. As for when you change out batteries...3.6v seems a bit early. :p I'd switch out when I hit the 3.2v-3.4v range.

2 months into vaping and shopping for a VV mod

I'd order a Pila when you can, but it isn't the end of the world. Just make sure you check the voltage when you put in a fresh battery (Can do it right on the Provari). It's normal for a fresh battery to register at around 4.2-4.22v. As for charge time, a couple hours should see them at full.

    Best tanks?

Provapes has decent tanks with polished metal caps and a polypropolyne tank (isn't harmed by a lot of the juices that kill polycarbonate tanks). They are on sale right now too. I just ordered 2 more 3.5mL tanks myself. Hard to beat for 11$ each. Btw, if you ever get a tank that seems to come...
