Question- how is a sub ohm tank different than a regular one? Could I use the coils I already have?

What is the difference in a regulated mod and a mechmod? I'm really new to trying to understand exactly how my vaporizer works, so I'm thinking I should stay away from mechmods until I know more. But, to stay away from them I have to know what they are...haha

Thank you! I'm not really worried about the charging speed, since I'm getting 6 batteries and will only use two at a time. I'll most likely leave the ones I'm not currently using on the charger over night. All of them seem to have the shut off feature to not overcharge, which is nice.
