When you wick the RBA your cotton should go down the juice channels on each side and pass outside the cover slightly. Don't make the wick too thick so the juice can flow to the coil easily. If you wick it like the video above you make have leaking issues and end up with juice in the air channel.

I believe the firing button is on the side and the top piece is the battery cap. Looks that way in the video anyway.
