Can the Icon be modified to a 6V devise using 2 14250 batteries?

Well slap me silly- I bought a cheapo multimeter and checked all my supplies - 14500's for my Icon and Tornado/ego batts also a dozen or so LR atty's. guess what - they are not all the same some batteries fully charged are around 3.4v others are up to 4.2v some LR atty's are at 1.7ohm and vary...

Anybody know who else has nice mods like Pure Smoker Icon & V3 and Super T Precise? I have both and love em. I'm always looking for another 'slick' custom mod... Any ideas?

I'm currently using some 3.7 v units (the Icon, Tornado and the small Precise) always use a LR atty and dripping the maintenance and atty burn out problems are a bit of a head ache but I love the great taste and vapor production. Would a 5 or 6v mod be that much better?

Just a little tale of caution for those of you who thought your friendly PV couldn't harm you. Last night I was having a few too many cocktails with friends (mistake #1) I was tugging away on my new ICON using a lo res atty - and did not lock the button down before putting it in my cargo shorts...
