ok guys i found the issue......i have an 510 connector extension on the voltmeter and thats the piece that was causing the short.........took off the extension and put on an ego adapter and viola its working again....... wouldn't matter what my coil was at cause there was never an atty attached...

ok I'm back home and not using the 510 ohmmeter to get a reading.....im using my actual multimeter and I'm getting 9.40k ohms on the voltmeter.....but when i connect to my mod it shorts out the circuit but when i connect my atty everything is fine......so something is definitely wrong with this...

This may be the wrong section but wanted to ask some of the veterans out there....... I have been having shorting problems on my mod and it only shorts when I attach the 510 volt meter.......are those supposed to have any internal resistance? and if not how can i test it out to see if it is...

or just cut at an angle......works great but you won't drain the bottle completely empty which to me isn't a big deal.....i usually fill up when i have 1/4 bottle left

whatever box ohm meter you are using that canont fit the RM2 i find that getting the 510 adapter found on the reo mods website helps in making those connections more true.... but measuring in the center post and outer part of the atty should give you an accurate measurement.......then like...
