I thought it might be defective, and contacted ProVari. They said it was not uncommon for the memory loss, but they were working on it. Usually when the battery gets too low. I was trying to get an idea if anyone else had experienced this issue.

Anyone else having trouble with their P3 forgetting all the settings? Mine erases the memory sometimes when I change the battery. Very annoying!

Like was said earlier, it depends a lot on the juice. I normally used unflavored now, and the coils seem to last forever (more than a couple of months). When I put some flavors in, the coils start tasting nasty within a week or so.

Because you don't measure voltage directly. You measure the current through a known resistance, and extrapolate the voltage.

I think you are on the wrong track. Assuming the wick is wet, and not dry, the temperature is not going to get above the boiling point of your juice. It would be like saying, do I want water to boil at 250 degrees, or 150 degrees?

I got some spring-loaded clips to use with my meter. they clip onto the wires, so I get a more consistant connection. Also, I noticed you set your range to 200. If your meter has a lower range, that would give you better accuracy/resolution.

I always had trouble with the tanks cracking and leaking, too. But you will find that some flavors cause the plastic to crack. If you use non flavored juice, they will never crack. You need to use something with a polycarbonate, metal, or glass housing for those flavors.

I try to maintain a low profile in the airport; turn to the wall to exhale, etc. It helps that I do not use something that looks like a cigarette. I use a Darwin or a ProVari. If asked, I just say it's my asthma inhaler, and they go away.
