Correct, but they are made that way to be used at a certain wattage range. while i could see making them bigger could cause flooding while it sits, it would definitely raise the usable wattage range. id think you cloud eliminate all flooding with a bit more cotton

i would think it would be fine. id wire the batteries in parallel since that will extend battery life. i assume it wouldnt damage anything to wire them in series but due to the fact there is a voltage limit that was set with a single battery in mind youd get the same battery life and no benefit
