as for bigger battery variable Voltage/Wattage devices- Check out the Innokin MVP, Vamo or SID
I used the vamo for a good while before I moved into fiddling with mechanicals, and it still does an okay job of checking resistances for me.

I have a few KTS' and one K100, I honestly prefer the bottom button of my k100 as it's less prone to falling apart on me. (personal experience of course)
Now, my KTS' still get used, but I have had issues with them.

IMO this thing looks pretty interesting, but for that speculated cost, it's going to have to be able to do a lot more.
