I know, mine hasn´t as well... I suggest you get a self powered USB port extender. Self powered means that you don´t draw power from your computer. Those are really cheap, and make a worthwile addition (you get 4 extra USB ports).

I thin VG with 10% distilled water so it runs easier... Some VG is really very thick...
