Well, I got in contact with Tom and given the specific geometry of this mod, he doesn't feel comfortable tackling it. Not to mention he indicated that machine costs would be in excess of $150 each so final cost will definitely increase. I won't know for sure until I get a final estimate from...
Here is my plan. I am going to make 2 more attempts to call Tom and then I will move on to another machinist. This will take a little time unless someone knows of a good/cheap machinist.
Your more than welcome Paige.
did up a stem today.. very nice. still has some flaws that I need to fix, but it's still stunning.
and another I did a short while ago
I haven't posted my most recent works in a long time so I figured I'd update the thread with more pictures.
Including my brand new Vivi-Nova tank drip tip specifically designed to fit OVER the vivi-nova cap and hide most of it.
Ahh but don't you know as of now ALL of my tips come with a solid metal core and stem so they are 100% compatible with acidic juices. I'll post some pics. First is an orange stock I have on hand
I'll have to have you PM me to work out the specifics, but I'm sure I can make what you...
Paige350z, I can help you for sure. now are you looking for anodized driptip or are you looking for acrylic, cause I can get ya with both.
Here is what the anodized would look like in a tip
I'll post pics of the acrylic here in a few...
actually, an Evic can be anodized, but just the parts that don't have electronics inside it. In order to anodize it, I have to dunk it in an acid bath which would be bad for the electronics. I don't think you could remove the electronics for me to do the rest, so that works out to just the...
Oh it's not going to compete with the Pure... I've no intention to. Initially it was intended to be a sub $150 device but the machining on such a unique shape is going to be impossible to do below that cost. I'm still working with Tom at vaperfexion to determine exactly how much it's going to...
you really don't have any options other than heat treatments. :) It's why I hate stainless. that and it's heavy, poor electrical conductivity and anodized aluminum is harder better chemical resistance and can be much much prettier.
Update on that actually.. I sent the 3-D printing to them so they had a physical model and he tells me, "I had no idea it wasn't round, I hadn't even looked at it" haha so he then informs me the cost to machine will be more. No true cost yet though.
