I'm having the same problem. The tank has been fine for months but just now has started tasting burnt. I love this thing but the taste lately is not so great :/ The cotton is fresh.

If no one has mentioned how to stop the leaking, I put a strip of cotton since that is what I use for my wick over the top of the setup before screwing the top back on the Taifun. If you need a video I can find one that explains it better than mine!

I'm having the exact same problem and I tried swapping the screws. Did you ever find a solution?

Has anyone run into a problem with the Ohms reading? I keep getting in between 3.6-3.8 if I use 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 wraps of 29 ga Kanthal. Is it user error or is something going on with my Taifun? Also- the screw on the bottom is for some reason making it impossible to screw on my voltage...

It's hopeless! I'm sad! I went to Home Depot and got these drill bits the guy thought would help take the part out. I got the part out but the drill bit got stuck inside. My dad, not knowing there were threads on the outer edge of the piece, started using pliers to try and get the drill bit out...

I have googled and googled and googled and I cannot fix this situation. I have a Stingray Clone and part of the fire button got stuck. I cannot get it out for the life of me. I have tried the freezer, rubber bands, rubber kitchen grips, pliers, I can't get it unstuck. I have attached pictures...

It's a Stingray Brass Clone and here are pictures! I can't get this thing unstuck! :confused: The first picture is looking at the clone from upside down and the second picture is looking at the clone from the inside to the bottom.

I was having the same problem with self firing and it was because my magnets weren't flush. One was sticking out just a little bit and it was causing the two magnets to keep sticking to each other. I didn't even see the second magnet at first. I thought the two of them were one. Duh. Oh well at...

Fixed it yay! I didn't realize the two batteries were stuck together. Duh. Then I needed to snap them in securely to make sure they didn't keep sticking to each other.
