FYI to those of us with leaky Drunkers; The silicone o-rings used in the drunker are inferior to the black rubber ones used in DCT's, the good news is that they are the same size and the DCT o-rings are far superior. No more leaking from my Drunkers.

Thats a really good idea. I was thinking of dremmeling those grooves myself back when I was using a wider wrap with more wick. I really dont see how it could do anything but improve the Drunker.... Unless you break the ceramic.

Thanks.... My plan is to wrap a large coil (same diameter Im using now, and very tight) probably 10/11 and have it "floating" just above the ceramic cup, making the legs that much longer. Im pretty sure through trial and error I should be able to figure it out and have the perfect ohm. Thanks...

Ive been using 32awg (10.9ohm per foot) nichrome with 4/5 wraps and achieving 2.2ohms on the Drunker. The same wire with 7/8 wraps gets me 3ohms I just now ordered some Kanthal "A" 30awg (8.5ohm per foot) in hopes of getting more wraps (surface area) for relatively the same endpoint ohms...
