My ipv D3 just cut out and the display read Short. Battery looks normal, no vaping out of the ordinary. Any ideas as to what would cause this? Kinda freaked me out. Could it be a random malfunction?

I accidentally tore the wrap on one of my batteries. To me, it appears as though it's only the pink part that is torn, but I am not certain. I don't have another battery to replace it with right now though, as the others are charging. Safe to use, or recycle it?
