When I can get the CE2's to not leak this happens to me as well, although the cracked base is more catastrophic leak wise. I have noticed that the atty leaking doesn't happen as much with the regular sized CE2's, but much more with the XL's. Maybe the volume of liquid has something to do with it?

I received the CE2 X (510) last week and so far the three I've tried have all had tubes crack at the base and leaked. I'm staying away from buying any more until they fix that issue. Strange that their initial testing didn't catch this, but it could have been a manufacturers change (who knows).
