Do ideas posted in ecf constiute intellectual property? =] JK.. I looked into induction a long time ago but decided efficiency would be the big problem. I hope they have that figured out otherwise you may have to constantly charge it like a cigalike..
I started having connection issues with my VTR. The spinning connector was just not cutting it. So I tore it down and put a FatDaddy connector on it. I don't have pictures right now but here are the steps I took to do this.
1. Remove the bottom cover and battery tube.

Here is the one with the mega dual coil carto used for the extension. You need a 5th tank cap for the extra length but this setup allows you to use it without honing out the protective ring. The o ring on the top cap may need to be removed or not... Not sure of the brand of tanks I took the caps...
I honed out the protective ring on the VTR with a Dremel and a sanding drum to fit 20mm Atties.
Gutted a 2.0 standard size boge carto and pressed in a 510 female connector with a wire soldered top to bottom.

Another quick fix is a piece of tape over the hole.... Poke a hole in it... As for the previous think the same as above only with a piece of metal on the inside instead of tape...

Use a piece of metal and bend it to a curve just bigger than your dripper and put inside the cap with the spring tension holding it in place. Position to partially block the air hole.

Two ego adaptors and a shorty 510 extension. With an ego beauty ring thrown in for the neck of it.
