I would have tried one before rebuilding it to see what happens. It sounds like there was some sort of problem with connections somewhere.

I have a friend who may be interested in the Twist so I Googled it along with Liberty Flights and found it that way the other day. It would be nice to have a search feature on the site. :)

Although this is my first coil, I have to agree about the cheesecloth being finicky. I think I'll figure it out in time. I will also add that little piece at the top. That sounds like it would help a lot.
