Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Thanks Craig. I'd definitely prefer a clear tank but I know my liquid will destroy it :/ The only thing that sucks with the nautilus tank is that it would cost $53 to get it to the USA. Maybe ill just buy another term if that's my only real option.

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Hey guys, Do you know where I can buy a replacement tank for the Term? SVC is sold out of the stainless steel. My clear tank broke at the threads and it has to be from my menthol/cinnamon juice. I can't seem to find a stainless tank in stock anywhere. My other thought would be buying the...

I'm not understanding what you mean either. Some pictures would be great if you could. I like the idea of a more solid method for the splices. Thanks.

    Calling all AGA-T2 experts

I have the AGA as well and it gave me trouble until I used the drill bit method of wrapping my coil. It gives me a perfect coil every time. No shorts. All of the coil touching the wick. It is an excellent method that is faster than any other methods I have tried. The video is here...

Compact tool kit for working on RBAs while out and about

A small fishing box for lures might work out for you. They have multiple compartments that are big enough for the tools, e-liquid, spare battery, etc. I have one that I use, but its still not quite pocket friendly for out and about. BassPro has more pictures of the blue one Edit: The...

    Oxidizing questions

I have a Provari also and pulsing is pretty much a no-go because of the circuit protection. I agree with others that a short torching (half or all) of the wick will make it work great. However, I still strongly recommend doing one juice burn before you're ready to wrap. When I forget to do a...

Best rba for silica, aga-t performance?

For a Genesis-style RBA, I have the AGA-T+ (with glass tank which means it is the same as the AGA-T2 although wick hole is different i believe) For something that just requires wick and wire, it is an excellent RBA. I am currently using my Terminator instead of the AGA because all...

I'm probably the least experienced Term user here, but I'll give a suggestion. Did you try washing out your parts? Mainly the center post assembly that attaches to the bottom of the ceramic cup. That is where air draws in so maybe you have a small piece of silica blocking the flow. Are you...

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Thank you for the pictures Craig, even with the blurry images it gives me a better idea of how small my splices need to be. I just built the Terminator and for the first time it actually has flavor that isn't burnt or odd tasting. I'm not sure how long it will last, but I'm honestly excited to...

Awesome, thank you for the tip. That is what I'm going to try on my next build tonight.

Mostly I use 30 gauge because I bought a 50ft spool from ebay. I also use 32 if it happens to be in front of me. I'll report back on the nickel after I give it a try. Hopefully others will share their opinion of nickel for making better splices.

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Thanks for the link, I watch a lot of his videos. I've seen that one too but neither he nor igetcha69 go into further detail on exactly how tight to wrap the coils, where it is okay to leave the splices without issue, and some other more detailed issues experienced with the oddy. But I do...

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Okay, I have set it up with the double wick inside the coil but I'm still getting a slightly burnt taste. How long does it usually take your silica to "break in"? Maybe the silica just isn't broken in yet. I ordered some Nickel NR to try as well. It seems easier to work with when making...

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Okay, I will try to untwist it at the ends to fluff it out more. The added piece of wick - do you mean double the size inside the coil? ----- Like that? Where both lines are silica and the shorter piece is trimmed off at the channels edge? Edit: The top (dotted line) should be...

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Craig (and others), How tight are your coils around the wick? I don't want to choke my wick but I think I'm not wrapping tight enough. Do you make sure that if you pulled on the wick (from either end) while it was sitting in the coil (not in the term) that the wick would NOT move at all...

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Well, it seems that even when my coils look to be coiled correctly around the wick, I'm still not getting the full flavor of my juice. One of the outside coils came off the wick (very slightly) when trying to move my splice inside the cup and then bring my silver NR down the channel. The...

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

Agreed on the V1 vs V2 idea. I need to widen my channels as well. I'm pretty sure it's the reason I'm having so much trouble making this thing work properly. There just doesn't seem to be enough space.

Terminator/Nautilus/Choddy/Oddy Clone Pics, Tip,Tricks and Quirks

I'm thinking that may be what it is. I just built it again, after attempting to scrub off the brown/black with no luck, and it doesn't have nearly as bad a flavor as the previous 10+ times I have put it together. Could I also ask you, if one of your coils isn't heating up (glowing orange) when...

My ceramic looks like brown and black after doing a milk boil and then torching it. Did you guys have that problem when you boiled the ceramic in milk? I have the Term V1.
