Quick question. If it's a true balance charger built in, and I only install a single cell in the ipv3, it should still charge right? Or should I put in a single fully charged cell and one drained cell in it to see what voltage is sent to each cell???

My charger came in. It's a Switching 9v 2A center pin positive charger. Haven't had time to mess with it. I'll test it out and get back to you guys. I did check that the mod lights up green when the charger is plugged in.

For the price of the ipv3, building one doesn't make sense to me. This mod does what it does very well. No complaints at all. Is it a hassle taking out the screws to pull the batteries once a day? A little. But to me it's worth it. If I can balance charge the batteries in the mod overnight it...

No, you are not thinking this straight. You asume that the charger is going to directly charge the batteries. What you don't probably understand is that there is a charging circuit built inside the ipv3 that will take that 9V and regulate it to what the batteries need to charge properly. Now...

SmokeTek cartos should only have 1 hole in them! Boge cartos have much better filler material and they are wound tighter. Make 2 very small hole on the side and it wont leak. Cant help you with the burnt taste though. Maybe you didnt let it soak up enough before using it.

Wrong, the ti chip only goes up to 5.5V the OKR-T chip goes up to 6V.

OKR-T/6 is all you need! Dont waste time comparing it with anything els. It gives you 6A @ 6V out with no need for input/output capacitors. What more could you want?
