    Goliath by Youde

Well, I knew it was a good possibility that that would end up being the truer version of the story. I still have probably a square yard of medical grade stainless steel mesh and a box full of genesis style RTA (AGA-T2 mostly) that I haven't touched in over a year because dual coil sub ohm...

This tank was intended to replace one of my dual coil drippers at work. I tend to favor the Tobh Atty and those that are similar to it. I usually build 26 gauge, 6/5 wraps (or 7/6? I don't remember) around a 3mm jig for 0.5 ohms. That is what I am comparing to. Same mech, same cotton, same...

Thanks for the idea, Mad Scientist. So I went ahead and recoiled it. 26 gauge kanthal, 6/5 wrap around a 2mm jig. Tests out at 0.3 ohms which should be 58 watts on a battery fresh off the charger down to about 43 (3.6 volts), where I normally swap it out for a fresh one. I put the coils up...

    Tank for a Mech?

I use a Youde Goliath V1 on my mechs for work. It's basically a small, dual coil dripper that sits inside a tank. Build your own coils, wick with organic cotton, has a juice valve so you can take the tank off and work on the deck even when it's full of juice. Makes tons of vapor but a bit...

Anyone have a coil formula for running the Goliath V1 on a mech? I get tons of vapor but very little flavor compared to my drippers... I have preferred dual coil, big air drippers for quite awhile now. I work long days in the woods and wanted something that was "vape and forget", because...

    Comparison of VTC4, VTC5, LG ICR18650HE2 and Samsung INR18650-25R

Yup. I ordered two more "35 Amp" Purple Efest from Mt. Baker Vapor (to hit the $50 free shipping threshhold) and they both have a weird little "anti-counterfeit" sticker on them. First batteries I've seen of any label with such a thing but I'm still left wondering... why couldn't the...

    Focalecig ... A new Fasttech??

Finally found a good copper Akuma and now want a Stingray X (gonna let the Akuma patina up!). Any idea when FC USA will restock "(Ship from USA)SXK 18650 Stingray X Clone Mechanical Mod"???

    Flat Top vs. Button Top

I don't know when I got in the habit but I always buy flat tops now. I do not use a "hybrid adapter" so your mileage may vary if you go that route. My flat tops have worked in everything I've used from some Vamos (VV/VW), Maraxus, Akuma, some ultra cheap telescoping mod I got in a trade, and...

    Comparison of VTC4, VTC5, LG ICR18650HE2 and Samsung INR18650-25R

Great thread! I found it while looking for a couple new batteries since my preferred vendor is currently out of stock on the Efest 35A and I heard there may be some evidence that they are just rewrapped LG HE2s anyway. One big concern of mine, that I didn't see mentioned here, is the...

    Magnetic vs Spring Loaded Swith

Springs: Cheap, can replace at any hardware store, easy to pick a custom "resistance" (how much pressure it takes to use the switch). Magnets: Very smooth switch action, don't wear out or weaken from use, not as easy to replace or customize. Early mechanicals, especially some of the first...

    Akuma clone

It would be handy to see some photos of that top cap. Closeups, from the side view, top and bottom. I recently went through THREE Akuma clones before I found a vendor that had a good one. The first one was advertised as "adjustable" but only the battery rattle screw would move. The...

Need opinions on the copper Akuma clone from VapeTech

It would be nice to find a way to get that adjustment screw to be just a bit tougher to turn! I just got a good one from Codevape via ebay, with the copper contacts (after two failed tries with FT and a US vendor) and while I love it, I too notice that that contact will loosen up after it's...

    Focalecig ... A new Fasttech??

FT has been pretty speedy with my orders lately but I'm getting tired of sending half of each order back to them. My last order took two days to process, two days to hit L.A., it blew through customs like they weren't even there, then it spent ANOTHER four days floating around my home state...

    Focalecig ... A new Fasttech??

Heya folks, new to the thread ;) I sampled a few pages, just to see if I couldn't get the gist of it, but I'm still a bit thrown by all the neato bling shots, etc. So here is my question: Is Focalecig better than FT or not? Which ships faster? Which is more accurate in actually shipping...

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

They need to hire ME!!! :D At least I could tell them where magnets are *supposed* to go and help them build around some of the crazy stuff they are trying to use now, like that spring in the #20 switch.

I'd like to pick up a shot #20 to play around with too. Gotta be some way to mod it without that spring.

    Mechanical mods for noob

Should have a rebuildable dripper anyway I think. Flavor tops even my gennie style RBAs. RSST is good for beginners the same way a bicycle that includes training wheels is. Yes, you can ride it, but you aren't building your full skill set until you take the training wheels off. Just my :2c:
