You would definitely think so and just personally for 200 bucks might expect a lifetime warranty, but how come I cant even find mention of the standard warranty on their site or in the manual? Only the push for the 1 year extension... I was so about to buy one too.

Mine did this from day 1 without the extender. I was one of the lucky ones to forever fight the overspray of the black coating on the threads. The head seems to be the main issue with mine. Using the extender proved this.

I started with an ego 600 mah, then picked up the ego-t 900 mah (battery only; I use cartomizers) because of the 5 click protection. Works just fine! Then I got a kgo kit, then a bolt. If I could start over I would probably have forgone the ego-t and went straight for the kgo with higher voltage...
