Glad people still read and enjoy those old recipes. Though I rarely post these days I do "creep" around from time to time.
These days I mainly DIY straight flavors, as there are so many solid multi-flavored flavorings on the market.
Cheers everyone!

Yep, we're still waiting on studies to be completed to answer this question.
And if you vape over 15 watts ... you may have to wait even longer. (The studies ... unless plans of changed ... weren't going to look at high wattage just yet).
The scary part is that most of it is aluminum ... not steel. Can't imagine how heavy these aluminum alloy mods would be if made in steel. Probably heavy enough to drop your drawers WITH a belt. lol ;-)
This is a theory anyways. We honestly don't know and probably won't unless someone comes up with a pretty precise method to test TC in comparison to the power output.
At the end of the day, people are making assumptions based on the screen display. That can be dangerous.
So my guess would be that it's regulating the temp pretty efficiently and it is indeed just the juice or carbon from the coils. The only other option would be that for some reason, the chip isn't regulating properly when dealing with fluctuating temps from the juice. If you haven't noticed...
I've noticed that the temps on the SX Mini M seem to both fluctuate and slightly go over the temp settings based on the videos Ive seen.
Even on their own test video.
Yeah, even Varitube is stating they are "indefinitely" on hold ... that's why I find it odd. I don't see how obtaining parts had anything to do with these colors being on hold unless issues were found with the quality of paint. Unless they based their decision on pre-order sales and saw that...
I'm confused as to why you keep mentioning parallel resistors?
From what I understand gunk on a coil doesn't necessarily run in parallel due to coil oxidization? Which again, explains the increase in resistance.
Of course. The bigger the circuit ... the more resistance, especially when you introduce less conductive materials into the circuit.
That's why resistance is measured in length ...
*Shrug*
If you google "gunked coils changing resistance" you'll find tons of results. Like I said, it's something I've experienced and have heard from tons of other vapers over the years.
Insulated wire uses a non-conductive insulation ... so no.
Gunk on a atomizer coil is still conductive and electrons WILL flow through it (at a greater resistance).
If you take nickle wire and wrap something like say ... nichrome ... around parts of the nickle wire. You will add resistance...
I mean hell, I just replaced the nickle build on my Goblin 2 days ago because my coils were gunked all to heck. The resistance had bumped up 0.03 ohms since it was new.
