    A bigger switchless copper mod

Here's the big brother to the ½" mod detailed at this link: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/45125-switchless-copper-pipe-mod.html This one is for the 18650 battery and ¾" copper pipe. I used a piece cut to 81 mm, two end caps, a small piece of 16 mm OD compression spring...

    Switchless copper pipe mod

I used a 2½" length of ½" copper pipe, two end caps, a short piece of 0.496" OD compression spring, a ¼" phone jack, a bolt, insulating sleeve, an unidentified piece of hardware out of my junk bin and a 14500 battery. The unidentified piece of hardware resembles a stainless steel bolt of...

    Maybe dumb question re: CDC

Admittedly, I don't even try to read everything in all these forums but I don't recall reading much about CDC attitude relative to personal vaporizers... and the term is too short for a search. My maybe dumb question is this. Where does CDC come in on e-cigs? It seems like they would falling...

    Touch sensor switches

Is there such a thing as a commercially available touch sensor switch that will run a NicoStick? All I've been able to find are schematics for building your own. Unfortunately, these drawings are beyond my level of comprehension. If there is nothing commercially available, can one of you...

    One tough atomizer

I went to town Tuesday morning to do a plumbing repair at one of our houses. This required a quick trip to the hardware store for parts. I had my manually switched ecig mod boxes laying in the passenger seat along with a bank deposit containing a bunch of cash along with some other goodies. I...

    The good stuff/Meeting a member

A while back timh and I realized we are virtually neighbors living only about 30 miles apart. Today, we had the opportunity to meet. I was working on one of our rental houses near a town in between us and Tim was able to stop by for a visit. We relaxed in some deck chairs on the front porch...

A concern for 801/phone jack mods

I've been using the ¼" ratshack phone jack atomizer connector. I use an insulated brass bolt to provide the positive power to the atomizer. It has been my goal to build this connector so the center terminal is tight enough to negate the need to ever open the box and adjust for movement. I...

    Attn: atomizer rebuilders

After two months of vaping, with an already substantial pile of busted atomizers along with a shipment of 25 ordered on June 8 and currently stuck in US Customs since last Friday morning, I can see the writing on the wall. To keep us in the vaping business over the long-term, I'm gonna have to...

    Easy recharge

Really simple. Hook the black wire to the black screw and hook the red wire to the red screw. Just like jumper cables. When the red light goes to green, it's done. The terminals also provide a handy point for a quickvoltage check with a meter.

    Battery charger review

Not sure this belongs in this section but I don't see a more appropriate place for it and may be helpful to those looking into battery mods. You do need a charger. This is a report on the UltraFire WF-139 battery charger. It's a 3.7v charger for 14500, 17500, 18500, 17670 and 18650 3.7v lithium...

    From Alabama Senator Richard Shelby

Here's a copy of correspondence that I received by snail mail from one of our senators. ------------------------------ May 13, 2009 Dear Mr. ....****: Thank you for taking t.he time to contact me regarding the FDA's approval of personal vaporizers also known as electronic cigarettes. I have...

    ½" pipe mod v 1.0

This for an 801 atomizer and is made out of a 2¾" piece of ½" copper pipe and pipe caps. The battery is a PCB protected Trustfire 14500 900 mAh (AA size). The copper body makes the negative side and the positive terminal of the battery makes direct contact with a #10 brass machine screw set...

    14500 initial charge

When initially charging 14500 protected lithium batteries, is an extended charge cycle recommended, similar to the requirement to initially charge an 801 battery for 8 hours?

    Advisory: Metallic blue 801

Yeah, it's a pretty color but the paint is a joke. It is, however, perfect for a truly disposable product since it starts chipping off with the slightest provocation. If you want to do maintenance on your atomizers to prolong their lifespan, it gets worse and you will be in for a surprise...

    Reconstructing an atomizer

I took apart a couple of DSE 801 atomizers simply to remove them from the outer casings. One went just as planned and the atomizer assembly released intact. The other atomizer didn't release from the casing in the same way, requiring resoldering of the wires to the battery connection. This...

    Wet Your Stick E-Liquid

I'm very impressed with the quality of products and service from this company so I thought I'd share a bit of info. I've already reported on the outstanding service and packaging provided. See Post# 12...

    Unprotected batteries/charging alternatives

Is it considered safe to use non-pcb batteries in a vaping device? Has anyone considered adding "charging posts" to a battery box mod so that a smart charger designed for battery packs can recharge the cell(s) without removing them from the box? Some chargers come with a set of alligator clip...

12v supply line for DSE801 charger

Apologies if this has been covered before. An old style Nokia phone car charger (for 3390/6340i/etc.) works to provide the 6-24 vdc power needed to run a Desan Model DSE801-C battery charger in your car.

    Learning the ropes/Finding the balance

I'm doing the testing for my wife and I to learn the most practical usage of our 801's and identify the pitfalls. I'm experimenting with the mixes and nicotine strengths, etc. Atomizers are a mysterious area. Sometimes they quit vaping because they're too dry, sometimes because they're too wet...

    Caveats for limited usage?

Although the decision is made (801's, juice and supplies probably arriving today from MVS) I'm looking for "what to expect" info. Although nicotine is lovely, I think the major reason I smoke is for the taste. Except for the occasional cigar from an island south of Miami, all I smoke is little...
