What about the Empire Mod? Have you looked at that? It is telescopic (sp?) where you can adjust the size of it. If he wants it small he can carry a couple batteries with him.

I've had the same thing happen to me too when dripping. What I do is put 3 drops in, tap the drip tip about 5 times with my finger, and wait about 10 seconds. Try that, if it doesn't work hit it a few more times and wait a few more seconds.

I believe they all perform the same. Since you live in the US you should get the LT from volcano since they have a 1 year warranty. It would be more expensive getting the knight rider from canada since you don't live there. Electronicstix also has a kit, but I did not have a great experience...
