    The gurgle

Gurgle or crackle? If you are not getting any leakage and no juice in the mouth, then it may just be normal crackling of the juice on the coil. One other thing that you might try is mouthpiece and wiping any juice out of that recess. Then take a piece of rolled up paper towel and stick it...

    need advice about vaping

+1 A low power battery might not give you the best vaping experience, but a poorly performing tank or clearomizer will flat-out ruin it for you. The Nautilus or Aerotank are good choices. Besides the eGos, take a look at the Eleaf iStick as darthvaper mentioned or the Innokin Cool Fire...

    Pointlessly Proud

Justifiably proud, I'd say! I still get a good feeling when I wrap a nice coil and am rewarded with a great vape.

Kayfun Nano - juice in mouth?

For the purpose of decreasing size and weight, I just picked up an inexpensive frosted Nano drop kit for my Kayfun Lite. It vapes pretty well, but I'm getting hot sputters and juice in the mouth on nearly every vape. Is this inherent to the Nano because of the shorter chamber, or could it be...

    First Post, Old Member

Thanks for posting! Your story is a lot like mine. I was a closet smoker for years after I "quit" for the 4th or 5th time. After a few days with an ecig I smoked my last cigarette.

    Are my coils shot?

Burnt taste usually happens because the wick is too dry. Try inverting the Iclear before every vape. Once wicks are burnt the taste can be hard to get rid of, though, and will also affect their ability to wick.

    cheap bottle shaker for steeping?

How about old aquarium air pump? I use almost 100% DIY and shaking by hand is fine with me, though.

Help a newbie figure out what he bought

The connection on the battery in the picture definitely looks like an 808, although there are variations that some vendors have used that are not easily identified from a picture. The female threads are a give-away that it's not a 510, though. Odds are it's 808 threading. Here's a link to an...

    Hello from PA

Congrats and welcome to the ECF! The first couple of days may be a little rough. Just take them one at a time or even one trigger at a time. Vaping makes it a lot easier, though.

Getting through TSA with Vape Gear?

Always take batteries with you in the cabin. I keep them in the devices or in a fairly heavy duty hard sided case. I've flown with all manner of devices, including box mods with big red buttons. The funny thing is that the only one I was ever asked about was one that looked exactly like a...

    kayfun lite plus

E-juice thickness may be an issue. I use 80PG/20VG juice and the KFL+ clones I have are some of the most consistent vapes I've ever had. I will say that I did get dry hits with the included coils and silica wick. Switched to cotton and a compressed 30ga coil and haven't had a dry hit since.

    Anyone use bottom coil clearomizers?

Madvapes carries an RBC that looks similar. It's not bad, but a little airy for me.

    First Adventure into DIY

+1 on lowering the percentage on the raspberry. I have a blackberry flavor that I actually had to dilute to 30% and then use that at only 1% in mixes. Some flavors are just naturally perfumy, though, so you'll just have to tinker with it. Try it out in straight PG/VG to see how it is without...

    RSST Vs Kayfun: Difference?

I'll join the rest in recommending a Kayfun. In my experience, they are as easy to use as a bottom coil clearomizer and easier to rebuild. They work great with VV/VW APVs as long as you don't go too low with your resistance.

    Rewicking Cotton

A lot depends on how dry the wick gets during use. Cotton in particular will get funky quickly if it gets too dry. A cotton wick that stays good and wet all the time will last me a week or more. As for coils, I just look at how quickly they get red when dry burning during the wick change. If...

    newbie with questions on EVOD

Congrats on making the switch and welcome to the ECF! In answer to your questions: 1. Laying it on its side should not hurt. EVODS do gurgle, though, and being on its side may increase it. 2. 2.0 would be a safe bet on a fixed voltage batt, although I would prefer the added warmth of 1.8...
