This is a long shot but is it possible that could you be using an incorrectly sized o-ring under the top cap/mouthpiece?

I agree, tank capacity is a more important design factor than engravings, especially if those engravings could cause a potential weakness.

I thought there were etched tanks out there in the market but I'm possibly getting polycarbonate confused with pyrex. I'll have to search around for some more info because I really don't know much about it to be honest :unsure:

Imeo, will you be making the shorter SS buttons for the GGTB anytime soon?
I know this was discussed a little while back but I have completely forgotten what the status was so I apologise for my bad memory :unsure:
I switched all of my GGTS buttons over to magnets and for me personally, I find them to give far less problems than the springs.
The magnets I use were the ones shown by Navy_Lifeguard in part one of a short series of GG maintainace videos he recently made.
I did not purchase them personally...

You may have damaged the 2 small o rings that seal the connector pin when you were pushing it back in. It would be a good idea to strip that part down and double check that everything is ok.
The first 4 minutes of RW's tutorial will come in very handy if you have never assembled that section...
