Actually, they are not the same, at least mine. If you screw lower part of the chimney from old Lemo with upper part of the chimney from Lemo2, you'll see, that this upper part of the chimney overhangs a little bit over the lower part of the chimney from old Lemo.

I guess, they are glued, otherwise they won't be in their positions when button is in lock mode. I was cleaning contacts of my Nanos just an hour ago and one magnet fell off, so I glued it back in place and everything's fine now.

The switch is made so, that you have to try really hard to break the magnets. Actually, don't be afraid and disassemble swith by yourself, I'm 100% sure you won't break anything and will be surprised how genius Jim is ;)

Why are contacts gold plated? Silver is much more conductive, even copper is more conductive than gold. Is it because of gold does not form oxides? It would be great to have a choise between gold, silver and copper contacts, as I prefer more frequent cleaning and better conductivity.
