    Updated shipping rates

Your rates are very reasonable. Too many vendors are using S & H as a profit maker. Just placed my first order and already have a ship notice..Great job

The "Flip Top" 510 box mod

I ordered 2 also. What did you use for the atty connector? Connector from dead battery? Any tricks to installing it? Thanks.

    510 PCC Review

Has anyone had a look at the internal battery in the PCC? Is it replaceable? I found a spec. that said it is a 1300 mah battery, but no mention as to the battery number.

    Need Atomizer Help!!

Kevin, I agree completely. There are other factors beside resistance. I suspect a hysteresis effect compounded by rapid temperature change. Gonna be hard to get a handle on this. The wire mod seems to take care of the passthrough problem.

    Need Atomizer Help!!

Yes, remove the atty from battery. Measure from center (hole) to outside (thread) of atomizer.

    Need Atomizer Help!!

I am seeing a trend already...great. First the meter question...Multimeters are either autoranging or they have to be set to the range, So, you will have to know what type you have. The resistance should be low..less than say 100 ohms. Some of these readings are lower than I expected---but that...

    Need Atomizer Help!!

I am trying to determine the resistance values for 510 atomizers. Several folks have reported problems with the 510 passthroughs while others have reported that they work fine. I did a workaround on my passthrough and it is fine now. What bothers me is that some work and some are marginal. I...

    Supercharged 510 "passthrough"

After living with this mod for a couple of days, this is the downside. 1) Juice consumption is up considerably--probably 25% 2) More "harsh" feel to vapor. Others have reported this when running a hotter atomizer. This may can be tempered by modifying the juice somewhat.

    Supercharged 510 "passthrough"

The battery box has a charging circuit that does not pass the charging voltage. Once the battery reaches full charge, the USB voltage is cut off. I am using an AC USB supply that has an LED to show current load. It lights as soon as the switch button is pressed and stays on until the battery...

    Supercharged 510 "passthrough"

I forgot to mention that the switch "sometimes works and sometimes doesn't" is a thing of the past after this mod. It fires every time now,

    Supercharged 510 "passthrough"

You are absolutely right, I remember seeing that and thought about unsoldering the tabs. It was late and I was getting tired.

    Supercharged 510 "passthrough"

Illspeed, I would really have preferred to solder directly to the board. However, the board seems to be glued to the housing and I was afraid to really force the separation. The connection (naturally) is made on the blind side. You probably could remove some of the coating on the board and get a...

    Supercharged 510 "passthrough"

Several people, including myself, have reported less the hoped for results with the 510 "Passthrough". Just did not produce the vapor of a battery and was margional, at best. Although, some folks said they worked fine. Still don't understand this. The circuit board in the battery box says...

    510 "Passthrough" Problems

Hi Cisco, I agree. Let the atty dry and watch it smoke...errr burn out. The 510 "Passthrough" I don't think, was designed to power the atomizer directly from a USB power source. It looks like some alternative charging scheme. I still think the main problem with it's poor performance is the...

    510 "Passthrough" Problems

That will work. Only question is how long atomizer will last at that voltage. Can you measure your current? Probably will be less than 1 amp. Also what is voltage under load?

    510 "Passthrough" Problems

That board is to charge the battery. Looks like only resistors for isolation or current limit. May be a diode to drop voltage a little.

    510 "Passthrough" Problems

I plan to move the battery closer to the switch and increase the wire size at the same time. Hope to do that this week. I have read that the current draw of the atomizer is around 1 amp. That is a lot of current for that small wire. I will be able to measure the current once I start cutting wires.

    510 "Passthrough" Problems

I have read where several people have noticed that the 510 "passthrough" does not produce the same vapor as a battery. This has been my observation also. Soooo, I decided to find out why--here is what I found. The 510 USB device is not a true passthrough as the in line battery supplies the...

    510 USB passthrough

I have a 510 passthrough that only is maybe 75% output compared to a charged battery. I have tried it on 3 computer USB's and an AC USB supply rated at 2 amps. My opinion is that the 4 feet of tiny wire, from the battery to the switch cannot handle the current load of the atomizer. 1 amp of...

    Current Draw of Atomizers

Has anyone measured the current draw of atomizers at 3.7 V? They will be different for various types. Mainly interested in the 510.
