Heya... I've been eyeballing the Z/VMAX but just havent bought it yet. What I've read though is that they seem to fire hotter than other VV devices. You might try stepping the voltage down into the area of 3.5 and see what that gets you. That being said, I'm not an expert nor do I have one...
