Throat hit comes primarily from the nicotine strength of the e-liquid. In other words, if seeking more throat hit, purchase an e-liquid with a higher nicotine strength.
Nicotine strengths are generally available in 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, 12mg, and 18mg.
Good Starter Setups for a Beginner Vaper
Protected batteries are "generally speaking" the wrong chemistry for vaping --- cobalt chemistry. They are not a "safer chemistry" like IMR or hybrid chemistry batteries used in the vaping community, hence the need for protective circuitry.
Unprotected batteries usually are a "safer chemistry"...
Not many, if any, quality 18350 high drain lithium ion batteries being produced any more. AW used to make good ones, but they have been out of business for a few years now.
suggestions for 18350 button top batteries ... ?
Seriously, I don't think there are any decent button top 18350 batteries being made today. Might be time to retire those mods if you can't find batteries for them anymore.
Attn:. @Mooch ?
Yeah, when I first began vaping 8 years ago I was using a mech whose battery exploded. It didn't have a locking fire button, and the fire button was rather prominent. Put the mod in my pocket and the fire button got compressed continuously and the battery went into thermal runaway. I had...
Hi there. I'm not as active here as I once was. I still vape. Due to not having home internet, I am dependent on the local libraries to get online, and the covid shutdown has really restricted that use. I'm visiting my daughter so I'm using her home laptop today.

Above is the video of the exploding SMOK mod while it was being charged. Internal lipo battery. SMOK mods have a notorious history of major malfunctions over the years. I'll never own another one. Video is from a security cam.
Pretty much shows what Battery Mooch's tests have shown for the last few years.
Most of the cheap Chinese batteries perform poorly, the Korean and Japanese batteries perform best. You get what you're willing to pay for. This is why everyone says don't waste your money and time looking for the...
My vape buddy purchased a Geekvape Aegis X at the local vape shop one week ago. The fire button began sticking (no e-liquid was spilled) in the last 2 - 3 days. This shop does not do returns.
Anyone have any ideas what my friend can do?
Did you prime the coils with e-liquid prior to filling the tank and vaping it? If not, you toasted the cotton wick and ruined them.
You are also using a DTL (direct-to-lung) sub-ohm tank, which many new to vaping find to be too harsh of a vape. A better choice for you would have been a MTL...
Radioshack in fact has a couple of decently rated 18650 batteries. Just pay attention to the models and specification ratings.
Radio Shack 20A 2500mAh 18650...accurately rated but 25R is better, paper top ring
Radio Shack 15A 3000mAh 18650...accurately rated but 30Q is better, paper top ring
I have exactly the same issues with this tank. I received one for free for the purpose of doing a review. I loved the tank's vaping performance, but the sliding fill top of the tank was an absolute fail, and I said so in my review. This tank is NOT POCKETFRIENDLY. I have probably lost 3...
