Travel and Vaping Cruise ship passengers & ecigs!

There are a couple rules of thumb to keep in mind regarding smoking on cruises: 1)No U.S.-affiliated cruise ship still allows smoking anywhere in dining rooms/restaurants. 2)No U.S.-affiliated cruise ship still allows smoking anywhere in theaters. 3)Just because smoking is permitted...

New DHHS website repeats FDA's false and misleading fear mongering claims about e-cigarettes, touts drug industry products

Yes, because we all know that children will go from vaping tasty flavors like fruit to nasty tobacco or, at best, menthol analog cigarettes. The gateway argument is so ridiculous.

That hasn't stopped him from being the most anti-tobacco President in history, even more than Bill Clinton.

Am I the only one who feels awkward Vaping in public?

Do you mean: don't vape where smoking isn't allowed? OR don't vape where you wouldn't feel comfortable smoking? I'm sure most smokers would prefer NOT to leave a nice, warm restaurant and go outside in the bitter cold to smoke.

Anyone been to a North Dakotan Bar or Restaurant-Bar Recently?

Also, the shelters have to be 20 feet from entrances. I don't know how that's going to work out. And I thought Illinois's smoking ban was draconian for private businesses.

Anyone been to a North Dakotan Bar or Restaurant-Bar Recently?

Has anyone been to a Bar or Restaurant-Bar in North Dakota since Tuesday? Have you asked them how they feel about the new smoking and vaping ban? It's best to fight these things when they are new. I remember back in February of this year, a state representative from Illinois tried to amend the...

    Tacky/Unconventional Places to Vape

I went to parochial grammar school, and we used to attend Church services every Wednesday. My 8th Grade Teacher was a heavy (more than 2 pack) smoker and would always stand right outside the doors of the Church and take a quick smoke break as the students filed into the building before the...

    Tacky/Unconventional Places to Vape

Did you have designated smoking areas at the school? I know that my former grade school still allows people to smoke outside. They're not required to leave the school grounds.

This is being voted on Tuesday by a popular vote. If passed, electronic cigarettes will be banned indoors everywhere and most certainly small-town bars, pool halls, and other adult venues will go out of business. If ANYONE lives in North Dakota, please go vote. Don't let this get any worse than...

TFK endorse Kentucky State Rep. Westrom for proposing bill that would have banned e-cig use in all workplaces

Localities in Kentucky have a hard enough time enforcing ordinance smoking bans in adult venues. I'm sure this will go over very well.

FDA to host webinar 'CTP Compliance Update on Internet-Related Warning Letters' on November 7

Whatever happened to states' rights? States did a near perfect job regulating tobacco before Obama and the progressives ushered in FSPTCA in 2009. For example, by April 1998, every state had a minimum purchase age of 18 or 19.

Funny Story about Vaping at the Mall

I was standing inside the mall about 30 feet from the entrance vaping, and this man, a father comes up to me and asks "how's that cigarette?" For a second, I thought that he thought that it was an analog, so I held it up to him (he was obviously very familiar with e-cigs). I laugh a little, and...

UCLA campus to become tobacco-free zone

"The world is changing," she said. "People didn't used to wear seatbelts or bike helmets, and they used to smoke in airplanes and restaurants. But we know more than we did in the 1950s and we have to act." More like the mid- to late-1990's. Smoking was banned in restaurants in California in...

UCLA campus to become tobacco-free zone

University of Kentucky did this back in late 2009. It's one thing to ban SMOKING in academic buildings, but it's another thing to ban chewing tobacco and e-cigs everywhere.
