We got away relatively unscathed but the lack of Vape shop exemption is a big loss.
The Northwest Vaping Association however is working on a stand alone bill that has support from a few senators for a Vape shop exemption and plans to introduce next session.
Update:
"NWVA refuses to quit and here is our plan:
663 is technically alive as it did not die with votes and no deadlines apply to Finance And Revenue Committee. I am going to change out latest amendment to a full "Gut and Stuff" bill which means the amendment will gut the entire bill and...
As of January 1st 2016 Vaping will be prohibited in Vape shops.
"As of 8:30 this am " SB 663 will not be heard today or ever again this session" said Sen Hass. This is good in terms of licensing not moving forward without sampling, but bad in terms of it is not moving forward with sampling and...
Thanks Bill for further expanding and clarifying. Thankfully they gave us a bit more time before the next hearing as the last scheduled one was moved to Monday.
Also good to note is that Cigarette lobbyists are pushing for a Tax Per mL as well, The NWVA and CASAA have no further information...

I'm trying to find that info as well for you all but I see what your saying. I'm not sure what the Texas E-cigarette & Vaping Association is going on about as far as the changes, I don't see them
Looks like according to the Texas Ecig and vaping association a lot has changed for the better in the final bill.
"EVA has prepared this side by side comparison of SB97 "introduced version vs. passed version" highlighting the dramatic changes to, or removal of, sections which concerned vapor...
That's an Agenda alright. "Exhaled E-cigarette Aerosols: Evaluation of Constituents and Exposure" , "Health Effects of Secondary and Tertiary E-cigarette Exposures". Tertiary meaning 3rd... Looks like we are going for some of that 3rd hand vapor talk again.
I expect some funny "Science".
SB415 has already been amended to remove the e-cigs language from the bill.
The version SB415A you linked is the version with the stripped language. Oregon does not consider e-cigs to be tobacco products by definition rather they are "Inhalent Delivery Systems". The previous version of the bill...
This is a fantastic bill but I fear it has no chance of passing. If it does pass house and senate does the president need to sign it? I don't think he would if that is the case. Either way I filled out the CASAA form and it has been sent.
Good for them. If anyone can understand how potentially dangerous this type of legislation is, it would be an organization that specializes in addiction.
Oregon Senate votes to ban sales of e-cigarettes to minors
Also in the bill is a public vaping ban with E-Cigs included in the clean air act. There is no Vape shop exemption in the bill, so while there are exemptions for Cigars in cigar bars and other combustible tobacco products in Smoke...
