Yes some of the copies are OK, but the poor ones give the real Novas a bad name which you often see in threads saying how bad Novas are. I also noticed the Smoktech types seem to have less threads on the battery connecter and often don't work with Ego batteries (which are copies admittedly).

Haven't had much luck with my T3's either but the miniNovas with 1.8ohm head (you should use these not the full size Novas if you are using Ego type batteries) have been very reliable for me. Make sure they are genuine Vision Novas though as the copies are often poor.

Have been for me, but with so many sources,changes there could be as good new type heads around,just haven't found them myself. I don't think it will be easy to rebuild them though as the coil is surrounded by the steel body but good luck if you try.

Actually I prefer the old cup wicks as they are more consistent, with the longer wicks I'm often getting a 'near to burnt' hit about every 5-10 draws.

It might be primer fluid, they usually come with a small amount I think. Maybe this one has more than usual, you could clean the head in Vodka and leave to dry. Otherwise it could be a faulty head, a good 2.8 will definitely give less TH than a 2.4 at same voltage.
