The protection circuit on a rechargeable battery will make the eVic not respond as it should. I purchased these Panasonic NCR18650B non protected and they work great. If you are looking for a charger I recomend the Nitcore I2 charger.

That's because the bottom spring on the eVic isn't very stiff. When I put mine down to hard or drop it I can hear the battery rattling, so my guess is that the eVic looses connection with the battery; just like when you take the battery out.

This happened to me, it would stick to the right side. I took the battery tube off, grabbed a baby wipe and squeezed a couple of drops between the ring and the screen. twisted the ring back and forth a few times and let it air-dry, now its good as new.

Did you check the battery, is it reversed? If not it may be the fire button, that would explian why you are able to upload to it but not use it.
