I have purchased blocks from this guy as well as onemill101 and 20deano05's stabilizing is quite a bit more penetrating. I'm working with some buckeye from onemill101 right now and while it's easy to work with, it doesn't have the hard dense feeling of 20deano05's stuff. Just an FYI

I've done it on a fire button once but it was supplemental. I even have some cylinder magnets that are diameter magnetized so two together actually act like a hinge, although with limited travel. The problem though is that it's not really a secure connection. If the mod was dropped, the bars...

Maybe it's just a random BS fee for funding their Biologics department. I hate "fees"! They are never contested, and the imposers know it. Look at your cable bill or hotel bill...fee for this and a fee for that...utter BS. It's just another way of collecting taxes.

which version is vkiwi using? V4? Any issues with that one?

That's good news Quigs. I've had a couple of failures on my previous mods using CA. It could have been poor preparation but I don't want to risk it with this mod. I have a 5 minute epoxy I haven't used yet. Will it be more reliable?

I've been stuck with this too in the past. It's the $20.00 FDA "processing" fee that hits my nerve. WTH are they processing??

I thought this was an open source thread :D. I had originally planned on hinging them with a 1/8" rod but I'm going to try BeCu first. It takes less space and should give me chance to adjust it if needed. I will try no attachment at first but I'm thinking it may slide to one side or the other...

Capt Brian makes some nice wood squonkers...I think I have 5 or 6 Cruisers. They were my favorite before I started making my own.

It would definitely work. It's the perfect diameter at slightly smaller than the ID of the cap. If I do use it, I'll drill the top of the cap and press fit it as far down as space allowed. But I was so wrapped up in finding a well made working compass this size, that I didn't really think about...
